If I had to pick one makeup item I couldn’t live without it would be lip gloss…. And to double down on that, pink lip gloss because, DUH!
And thanks to the fact I have zero self control around a good pink gloss, I have probably tried hundreds, which makes me a lip gloss connoisseur. 😉 LOL!
So what do I personally think makes or breaks a lip gloss?
Color- It can’t just be a good color in the tube. It has to actually look good on. And even better be universally flattering on different skin tones. I know personally I spend half my year a few shades lighter than I am in the summer. I also love when colors have a nice amount of a color deposit but are still sort of sheer.
Shine- OBVI we need some shine, annnnnd some subtle sparkle!
Taste- I mean…it is going on your mouth right? I hate when they taste fake or have that tingle to make your lips plump. I love a yummy yer subtle taste that’s not over kill.
Texture- Who doesn’t love a creamy gloss? This is why I prefer shiny to matte personally. And I think it’s safe to say NOBODY enjoys a sticky gloss….yuck!
Longevity- There is NOTHING worse than feeling like you just applied your gloss and it is a goner. Or it’s all over your glass when you drink and nothing is left on your lips.
