I would love to ___________ as soon as I lose weight. Ladies, I know you have been there.
Almost every woman I talk to has shared that they have been guilty of feeling this way at some point in their life.
The “blank” may be different but the statement and feeling is still there.
Maybe it is going on a date, a vacation, interviewing for a new job, talking family photos, buying new clothes, or trying a new workout (yes, you would be shocked at how many people say they need to lose weight BEFORE going to a gym/class)
Well I am gonna let you in on a little secret that’s going to change your life…..
You are totally worthy and deserving of the date, the vaca, the clothes, the job or whatever the F it is that you want RIGHT NOW! You just need to believe it.
This is not an anti weight loss post. I 100% believe we have the right to change our bodies to feel healthier.
This is an anti “Waiting to live your life” until you do post.
We are not promised tomorrow, we only have the NOW!
Waiting until something is different is very much like punishing a child.. You are basically like “Stay in your room until you decide to be good and come out”.
Ummmmm F no! You deserve to be happy and live your best life now, not when.
So how do you live your best life right now regardless of where you are at in your goals?
- Take action now! Just do one step toward “the thing”. Even if you are not feeling fully ready to embark on this wish, start to take any action! Tiny steps still lead to the same place that big ones do.
- Find joy in these things! Whatever you want is something you desire so make it fun! Putting pressure to lose weight for something definitely sucks the fun out of things. But if you focus on the fun you are likely to start. What about this desire would be so much fun or bring you joy?
- Remind yourself that you are deserving and worthy of everything you want in life at any weight. Use affirmations daily to remind yourself that you are allowed to enjoy your life regardless of your weight or size.
“I deserve _______ ” (love, happiness, fun, joy, money)
“I create joy in my life NOW”
“ I am worthy of everything I desire”
- Remember there is nothing wrong with trying to change your body. Working on being healthier or stronger is great. But always remember it is our right to be happy NOW! And being happy along your journey is soooo important.
