I feel like these flowers became such a metaphor in so many ways for me since I planted them yesterday.
I could probably do a few posts on this so I’ll start with the biggest one….
Finding Joy in the journey.
I wanted this little area to be super cute so that it was more enjoyable to sit outside on my patio.
But of course I want it to look perfect immediately!
As we know change doesn’t usually go “perfectly” or happen over night.
So, I made a choice to just enjoy this little “transformation” of my flower bed.
I researched which flowers were drought resistant and did well in direct sun.
Went home dug up the old stuff that wasn’t working and planted what I thought would work…..
I may be wrong? I may be right! Lol! Who knows? But who cares? I mean it’s not like I can’t reevaluate or replant?
Just like my girls say in the Project Healthy Body Podcast,
There is no there there.
These flowers don’t have to be a one and done type of thing. It’s a journey of finding what works here and watching them thrive!
The joy isn’t in the destination, it’s in the journey!
I can whole heartily say that they have already brought me so much joy just looking out my window this morning.
I swear these flowers brought up so many feelings, which isn’t surprising at all since nature always imitates life!
Where are you looking ahead to find joy instead of just living in the now?
Where would you be now if you were not worried about where you were going?
Share with me your thoughts below, I would love to hear them.
